Base Salary:  $ 62,400.00 – $ 98,800.00 plus

Additional Compensation: Bonus

Pay Type:  Biweekly

Employment Type: Full Time, Part Time, Commission only 

Location: USA, Remotely

Work place:  Work from home / Freelance

Work hours: Flexible hours, Monday – Friday

 

ABW Trading is looking for a Customer Service / Purchasing Manager to support strategic sourcing initiatives and category management activities for the existing customers. This position has the responsibility for the procurement of goods and services following current written policies, procedures. This position will assist with sourcing material and equipment following procurement guidelines with guidance of a Senior Manager/Supervisor. Duties include planning, scheduling, initiating, monitoring and quality assurance of all procurement and contract activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Purchasing of goods, materials, and services to meet company operational needs;

● Processing the request for quote process and report, order placement, order maintenance, resolution of invoice issues, resolution of quality concerns, and order follow up;

● Procurement activity may range in low dollar value to high value, complex requirements requiring negotiations. Follow up and expedite purchase orders as needed;

● Coordinate receipt of goods with requesters, suppliers, and receiving staff so that invoices can be paid;

● Contact suppliers by phone, email, and at times personal meetings to place orders for supplies needed or assist with sourcing and contracting activities. Discusses availability of new and old supply items;

● Set up and manage contracts in on-line contract management system. Track contract renewals. Ensure all data is entered correctly according to contract terms and conditions;

● Support management of supplier relationships and performance;

● Assist with day-to-day personal tasks.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

●  Ability to communicate with suppliers, other internal departments, and various levels of management in a positive and professional manner both verbally and in writing;

●  Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communications as well as follow-through and customer focus to ensure action items are completed in an efficient and effective manner;

●  Ability to work independently toward goals in an organized and efficient manner;

●  Ability to effectively multi-task and flex with daily changes in work assignments. Highly motivated to go above and beyond assigned activities to meet team assignments and goals;

●  Ability to work on multiple project simultaneously, and to accommodate changing priorities and situations;

●  Excellent organizational skills including planning, standards of excellence, personal accountability, and managing self;

●  Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills;

●  Self-starter – able to work independently with a sense of urgency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

● Minimum Education (or substitute experience): A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Economics, Business or Mathematics;

● 5+ years experience in production control, expediting, logistics, projects management, retail is preferred;

● Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office;

● Mathematical and reasoning skills required for proper analysis of bids, inclusive of differential pricing analysis and total cost of ownership.
